Our region supports a wide range of educational institutions, from K-12, to technical and community colleges, to private colleges, to online learning. Our schools and colleges are continually improving facilities, services and technology to serve our students, no matter what age they are or what their needs may be.
- Kansas State University: Since 1863, K-State has been serving Kansas and the world with teaching, research and outreach. Check out everything this Big 12 university — with its nine colleges, three campuses, 20,000 students and 4,500 faculty and staff — has to offer.
- Global Campus: Offering online educational opportunities to adult learners of every age, courses through K-State’s Global Campus are a flexible, affordable option.
- USD 383, Manhattan-Ogden: The largest district in the region, the national-award winning Manhattan-Ogden school system serves more than 6,500 students. USD 383 has recently opened a new elementary school and two new early-learning centers, making the district's total two large pre-K centers, ten elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, a virtual academy and an alternative high school.
- USD 320, Wamego: Wamego offers two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school with many innovative services including a virtual program, financial literacy classes and strong community mentoring programs.
- Manhattan Area Technical College: MATC offers a wide array of accredited learning opportunities to prepare students for well-paying technical professions such as nursing, welding, building trades and many others.
- Manhattan Christian College: MCC prepares students for service in ministry and leadership, and features many dual-degree programs in partnership with K-State and MATC.
