NBAF Announces Plans to Hire 150 in Manhattan

Dr. Alfonso Clavijo, director of the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF), recently announced that the lab, which is the only biosafety level-4 lab in the country that can house large livestock, will be soon be hiring at least 150 people to the Manhattan facility.
Construction on the $1.25 billion facility was complete in 2022, and the lab continues to progress toward being fully operational. The announcement of these new hires will bring the total number of employees at NBAF to around 400. The new jobs will include both operational and scientific positions. Jobs will be posted on USA Jobs. Those interested can go to usajobs.gov to begin filling out application forms.
