Kansas State University's recently opened Biomanufacturing Laboratory and Training Facility creates industry-aligned training and immersive research experiences that prepare students for rapidly evolving careers in biomanufacturing. This talent pipeline will benefit new and existing industry within the region while continuing to position Kansas as a national leader in biomanufacturing and biosecurity.
This new on-campus training and research lab is just the beginning. It's a cornerstone of the university's Biomanufacturing Training and Education Initiative, an ambitious effort to connect industry, research and education. K-State is also developing facilities in Manhattan's campus-adjacent Edge District with cleanrooms and specialized spaces tailored for full-scale production of vaccines and biologics.
