GMEP is a regional economic development organization and a division of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce. This partnership brings together economic development organizations in the the Greater Manhattan area to work together to grow the area’s economy. As a team, the economic development staff members for each of the partner groups pursue and win new business, as well as work to retain/expand existing businesses.
The first partner to join the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce in the formation of GMEP is the Pottawatomie County Economic Development Corporation.
The organization is designed to position the Greater Manhattan area as a destination for businesses and careers, with the goal of creating new jobs and increasing tax revenues in our communities.
